So, the kids are back at school, and October half term and HALLOWEEN will be upon us before we know it! What with Covid-19 and most places needing to be pre-booked, it’s time to get planning if you’re looking to take the kids pumpkin picking this Halloween. So here is a list of the best places to go pumpkin picking in Surrey, and the important info you need to know for 2020 🙂
What with Covid-19 scuppering travel plans abroad, we, like many others, opted for a UK family holiday this year. Although we love Devon and Cornwall, we were a little worried about how busy lots of places seem to be. Plus we didn’t fancy a huge long car journey, given that the twigs are so unused to being in the car following lockdown. They literally moan and whinge after about half an hour! So we went for Suffolk instead, as it’s not too far from us in Surrey. I thought I’d write a bit about what we got up to on our little family holiday in Suffolk.
During our recent holiday in Suffolk, we had a really fun day out at Jimmy’s Farm in Ipswich. It felt super safe with all the measures in place, and we had the best time! So I thought I’d write a little review in case it might be helpful for anyone thinking of making a trip there 🙂
We’ve visited Mayfield Lavender Farm every year since the twiglets were born! Last week we went on our annual trip there, so I thought I’d share some of my top tips, such as the best time to visit and so on. Hopefully they will help you to make the most of your visit to Mayfield Lavender Farm! I’ll also share some of the photos we took. (Everyone loves a bit of lavender spam, right??!)
Now that we are well and truly moving out of lockdown, a lot of us are enjoying some days out now. Of course, things are a little different though! So I thought I’d write about our experience of visiting Cliveden National Trust in Maidenhead, with social distancing measures in place. Just in case anyone was thinking of going and wondering how all the measures might affect their day 🙂
