Why I’m Not Planning Out The Summer Holidays

not planning the summer holidays

Recently I’ve seen quite a few posts all about planning out the summer holidays. I don’t mean like holidays abroad – I mean the loooong six-week summer holiday break from school or nursery. Obviously a lot of parents will be working for some or all of it but I’ve noticed that many of those who aren’t seem to be EXTREMELY organised. I’ve seen people drawing out charts and tables, showing each day meticulously planned out with detailed, structured activities. Now I love a bit of colour coding as much as the next person, but do you know what I feel when I look at some of these posts? PRESSURE…

Our Majorca TUI Family Life Holiday

TUI Family Life Majorca

I’ve finally decided to have a go at supply teaching rather than another class teacher role, so I just thought I’d share my reasons for this decision 😊 Just in case anyone’s interested 😜

Positively Not Body Positive

Colourful selfie

Quite a while ago I wrote a post called ‘Mum Tum: Lose It or Love it’ (read it here). It was about how, at that time, I wasn’t hugely bothered about my big post-pregnancy jelly belly. I wouldn’t say I was feeling super body positive or anything, but certainly not unhappy enough to do anything about it. But while on holiday last week, I realised that something had changed.
