The past week was really lovely as we got to spend a few days away together as a family. We decided against going anywhere too far as we couldn’t face a long car journey. So we headed for Suffolk, which is just a couple of hours away from us in Surrey.
What with Covid-19 scuppering travel plans abroad, we, like many others, opted for a UK family holiday this year. Although we love Devon and Cornwall, we were a little worried about how busy lots of places seem to be. Plus we didn’t fancy a huge long car journey, given that the twigs are so unused to being in the car following lockdown. They literally moan and whinge after about half an hour! So we went for Suffolk instead, as it’s not too far from us in Surrey. I thought I’d write a bit about what we got up to on our little family holiday in Suffolk.
I always see people sharing on social media about their perfect family beach days. But sometimes I find beach days can be a bit of a bloody nightmare to be honest! During our recent holiday in Suffolk, we decided to visit Southwold Beach. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s a lovely place and a great family day out. But we just had a really unfortunate day when we visited, and a catalogue of things went wrong!! So I thought I’d write about our disastrous family beach day, just in case you, like me, sometimes look wistfully at everyone else’s dreamy days out and wonder why yours go horrifically wrong!!
During our recent holiday in Suffolk, we had a really fun day out at Jimmy’s Farm in Ipswich. It felt super safe with all the measures in place, and we had the best time! So I thought I’d write a little review in case it might be helpful for anyone thinking of making a trip there 🙂
