This week has been a pretty good one really. The twigs enjoyed their second week of school – just one more to go before the summer holidays eek! We haven’t done all that much really, but we did have some fun making giant bubbles in the garden!
Coming out of lockdown (or not!!)
In terms of coming out of lockdown, I’m still nervous and we still haven’t changed what we’re doing all that much really. We certainly haven’t been to the pub or anything yet! (No judgement on anyone who has though!)
It does seem like so many people are out doing loads of fun things and meeting people now. And I keep wondering if I’m being almost a bit of an idiot sticking to the guidelines so rigidly, when it seems like lots of others are being really relaxed about it all.
I feel guilty that I’m still not letting my mum hug the twigs for example, but the fact is they’ve just gone back to school and started mixing with others. With social distancing, as their school are being quite strict on it even within their bubbles. But even so, it feels like a higher risk than ever really – like it’d be the worst time to let them start having close contact with her!
Bubble fun

Anyway this week’s Living Arrows photos were just taken in the garden. H and C received a couple of different bubble making kits for their birthday so we gave one of them a go the other day.
The kit we used is from Dr Zigs and is eco friendly and non toxic. We had so much fun making giant bubbles! There was a bit of a knack to it – you had to lift the sticks then try and move quite quickly. H didn’t quite get the hang of it this time round but C managed it pretty well. Us adults had lots of fun too!

I hope everyone’s had a good week 🙂
Thanks for reading! Til next time,
Hannah xx

The giant bubbles look like so much fun! Amazing how they are so big. Gorgeous photos x
Thank you – yes it was a lot of fun 🙂 xx
Wow ginormous bubbles!
I agree with what you’ve said about lockdown being over yet not over. It’s so confusing knowing what the right/wrong thing to do is!
Katrina x
It really is! xx
bubbles are so much fun for everyone – yeah!
Haha yes definitely, especially giant ones!
I don’t think you’re being silly, I think everyone has got to do what’s best for them right now. We know what’s right for our families.
Also, those bubbles are AMAZING! Who doesn’t love bubbles right!
Haha I know right! Ah thank you, it’s all a bit weird at the moment isn’t it?
Firstly, you are NOT an idiot – I too am sticking to the rules as though things are easing a bit now, we haven’t got a vaccine yet and as far as I’m concerned there’s still a massive risk! You stay in your garden and have fun (and I’ll stay in mine and do the same LOL).
Lovely pictures x
Hahaha thanks lovely, it does feel like a bit like everyone else is out doing tons of stuff though doesn’t it? Thank you xx
Wow they are amazing bubbles and so pretty x #mmbc
Thank you, it was lots of fun 🙂 🙂
We are the same as you – not really doing a huge amount yet. At times I feel like I’m on my own with that too so it’s nice to know I’m not. Those bubbles look amazing! x
Ah that’s good to know – thanks lovely 🙂
We have these bubbles and they are great fun. I do get a bit OCD with teh kids wasting the mixture lol x
Oh I know, that is the only problem – every time they pick it up out of the container they drip it all over the place!
Love these pictures, the giant bubbles look amazing! x #LivingArrows
Thanks, they were lots of fun! x
We love making giant bubbles too – I’ve bought Gabe a Dr Zigs set for his birthday in a few weeks so I hope he enjoys it too. It’s very strange times at the moment isn’t it – it seems like half the country has just forgotten all about Covid while the rest of us are still trying to follow the guidelines. #LivingArrows
Ah fab – they’re lots of fun 🙂 Yes, it’s definitely strange. I keep seeing photos on social media of people practically hugging friends and think gosh, have I missed an announcement or something!!
Oh those bubbles look huge and so much fun! We have started to go out more but nothing inside yet and mainly to the beach if I am honest!
They were loads of fun – can’t wait to try it again! 🙂 Wish we lived nearer the beach!
