Recently, I’ve been embracing crafting with my kids a little more than in the past. As I’ve said before, I’m not a natural crafter. But my tutoring work and wanting some 1:1 time with the twiglets has encouraged me to crack out the crafts more often. I still look for simple ideas that are within my limited capabilities though! So in case anyone else is the same, I thought I’d make a list of easy spring craft ideas for you to try with your little ones!
1. Spring Meadow Painting
I just love this spring meadow painting from Arty Crafty Kids – I think it looks amazing! And it’s all done without using a paintbrush! So creative and exciting for kids 🙂
2. Rainbow Finger Paint Trees
Make these super easy but effective rainbow blossom trees using finger painting. You could make them super colourful like we did or use different shades of pink!
3. Paper Straw Tulips
These paper straw tulips from I Heart Crafty Things are so cute and look super simple to make!
4. Stained Glass Butterfly
Make this stained glass butterfly from Typically Simple. It would look lovely with the light coming through a window.
Alternatively, these stained glass effect decorations from Baker Ross are great – you just colour them in with feltips and they look fab!

5. Egg Box Daffodils
Try making these egg box daffodils from 3 Little Buttons – so super cute!
6. 3D Paper Ladybirds
These 3D paper ladybirds from Easy Peasy and Fun are so cute and look amazing!
7. Paper Plate Sewing Chicks
These paper plate chicks from Red Ted Art look awesome! Great way to introduce kids to sewing.
8. Egg Carton Frogs
These little egg carton frogs from Rainy Day Mum are so cute and would be great for nursery rhymes and storytelling.
9. Bunny Ears
Such a simple but great idea from The Bear and the Fox! Get your kids to make their own bunny ears 🙂
10. Paper Plate Handprint Chick
Love this paper plate handprint chick from Mum in the Madhouse.
11. Paper Garden Craft
I LOVE this idea from Easy Peasy And Fun of getting kids to make a simple paper garden. Anything to encourage them to eat veggies haha!
12. Toilet Roll Butterflies
These toilet roll butterflies by Bo Bunny are so cute and look fab 🙂
13. Paper Flowers
Try making these lovely paper flowers from Motherhood the Real Deal.
14. Peg Dragonflies
These peg dragonflies from The Craft Train are sooo super simple yet look great!
15. Paper Plate Sheep
Try making this cute paper plate sheep from Housing A Forest.

Oh what a fab list – thanks! I am not a crafty mum either, but since the start of lockdown I have now created a ‘craft box’ with all the basic bits and bobs. My daughter loves it but I hate the mess, ha! #MischiefAndMemories
