After our little break away in Suffolk, we have had a really quiet week. We were all pretty exhausted. I think after lockdown and barely doing anything for months, it’s been a bit of a shock having such a busy summer! But one thing lockdown has taught me, is that actually we don’t need to be out and about all the time, and the twiglets can be perfectly contented just chilling out at home. We’ve also had plenty of back to school prep to be getting on with!

Labelling uniform

My Stamptastic stamps have been getting a lot of action with all the school uniform labelling this past week! Thankfully quite a bit of the twigs’ uniform from last year still fits, which has saved us a bit of money (for now!) I’m grateful I bought such massive, oversized uniform for them last year now haha!

School shoe shopping

We also braved the school shoe shop the other day. Kind of a strange experience with all the Covid restrictions, but not horrendous! The Clarks shop we visited was really organised and everything was done very safely.

I was really amused at the fact that C has gone up two whole shoe sizes since last September, but H has only gone up half a size! I mean, it fits with their growth pattern, in that she has shot up and he, well, hasn’t! πŸ™‚

Also, I didn’t like many of the boys’ shoes in his size. (Why are school shoes for boys so ugly?!) So I ended up buying exactly the same ones he had last year just half a size bigger! Crazy.

So for my Living Arrows photos this week, I’ve chosen one of C doing some indoor play, as that’s what they’ve done lots of! The twigs still love their Magformers as much as ever.

So, just a few more days until school starts! How’s your back to school prep going?

Thanks for reading! Til next time,

  1. I just asked my 17 year old, who is going into his final year of school, if he has his bag packed for tomorrow. “I’m not taking anything” he said. “We never do anything on the first day”. Ugh! Could be a long year… #MMBC

  2. How cute are those glasses?! I really don’t like the back to school prep. I’m absolutely fine with them going back to school there’s just SO much to organise! x

    1. Yes, getting out of the house early and not staying in PJs til 10 is a bit of a shock for us!!
