For a while now, I’ve been wanting to try a more eco-friendly alternative to the washing gel and fabric conditioner I’d been using for years. So I was delighted when the folks at ecoegg offered to send me their laundry egg to review. I wasn’t asked to write a full blog review but I thought it might be useful for people so here we go…
One thing I’ve noticed since the twigs started school, is that C in particular has been coming home and saying things like ‘so-and-so’s really naughty’ or ‘he’s a naughty boy.’ In other words, labelling other children as naughty. Not in a nasty way, more in just a factual way really. It seems to be something lots of the other children do and they all talk about. But I just have a bit of a problem with labelling children in this way.
Last week we had a lovely family day out at The Atrium Camberley. The Atrium is a shopping and restaurant complex in Surrey whose mission is to help you ‘Shop, Eat and Unwind.’ There’s so much there for families to do, especially during half term. In this post, I’m going to share what we got up to to give you some ideas of what’s on offer.

Helloooo! This is my first time joining in with the Living Arrows project, created by Donna from What the Redhead Said 😊 The project is about celebrating childhood, so each week you post a photo of your little ones that captures a special moment.
The day after I left my teaching job at the beginning of the year, I felt like I’d been hit by a bus. I think it was a combination of things – relief, alllll the emotions, exhaustion, sleep deprivation, all the anxiety I’d been feeling… I think it all just caught up with me a bit.
Anyway, I had a shower in an attempt to make myself feel slightly more human. Ignoring the fact that I could hear the twiglets next door destroying their bedroom and each other, I decided to take the extra 5 minutes in the shower to shave my legs. I knew it would make me feel that bit… nicer, you know? As I did, I thought ‘ooh I’m doing some self care!’ Then I quickly checked myself and thought ‘no – you’re shaving your legs because you resemble a yeti and could probably weave an entire rug out of your leg hair you tit!’ 🙈
