So, the kids are back at school, and October half term and HALLOWEEN will be upon us before we know it! What with Covid-19 and most places needing to be pre-booked, it’s time to get planning if you’re looking to take the kids pumpkin picking this Halloween. So here is a list of the best places to go pumpkin picking in Surrey, and the important info you need to know for 2020 π
Garson’s Farm
Garson’s of Esher is a fabulous PYO farm and is a super popular location for pumpkin picking in Surrey.
What you need to know for 2020:
- Entry is only allowed with a pre-booked Farm Pass. You can book this online here.
- A Farm Pass costs Β£4 for an adult and Β£1 for children aged 2-14.
- Timed slots for entry. Entry is allowed up to an hour after the time on your Pass.
- Dates for booking are released 7 days in advance.
- Card payments only when paying for pickings.

Crockford Bridge Farm
Crockford Bridge Farm is another fantastic place for pumpkin picking in Surrey. They have a PYO field and also hold an annual Pumpkin Festival during the October half term.
The Pumpkin Festival is amazing – such a fun event and the displays are so cool! It will still be going ahead this year but tickets must be pre-booked in advance. There won’t be entry on the day as in previous years. And there will be lower capacity and timed slots in order to maintain social distancing.
What you need to know for 2020:
- Booking is essential (anyone without a booking will be turned away).
- PYO pumpkin fields open the weekends of 3/4 October (10am-5pm) and 10/11 October (10am-5pm).
- Tickets can be booked online. Β£4 for adults; children aged 1-13 go free.
- Only book for your own household of up to 6 people.
- Timed slots for entry to PYO field. (You can enter up to an hour after the time on your ticket). No time limit once you are in the field.
- Card payments only.

Priory Farm
At Priory Farm you can take a fun tractor ride to the pumpkin fields and pick your own pumpkin. Or visit their Pumpkin Palace and choose one from the displays there. They also run a Spooooooky Trail where kids can help the Priory Farm Police solve the mystery of the missing pumpkins!
What you need to know for 2020:
- Booking for all events is essential. You can book online here.
- Tractor rides to the pumpkin fields run on 10th; 11th; 17th; 18th; 24th; 25th through to 31st October.
- Tractor rides cost Β£3 per person plus the price of your pumpkin.
- The Pumpkin Palace will be located at the entrance to the Discovery Walk, with social distancing in operation.
- Pumpkin Palace opens daily from 24th to 31st October. Prices start from Β£1.50.
- Spooooooky Trail runs every day from Sat 10th October – Sun 1st November. Β£5 per person.
Secretts of Milford
At Secretts of Milford you can enjoy a BBQ and pumpkin-themed menu when you choose your pumpkin.
What you need to know for 2020:
- Online booking essential. Tickets can be purchased here.
- Tickets are Β£2 per adult/child.
- Pumpkin Week runs from 24th-31st October.
- Free parking.
Tulley’s Farm
Technically Tulley’s Farm is just into West Sussex but it’s very close to Surrey so I’m including it! π
Tulley’s Farm has over 20 acres of pumpkins – that’s around 150,000 pumpkins! They also do PYO Pumpkin Nights, where you can pick pumpkins in the moonlight and enjoy food and drinks in their courtyard area.
What you need to know for 2020:
- Tickets vary in price from Β£2 – Β£4, depending on the date you visit.
- Tickets are available to book online now – you can do this here.
- Open 10am-5.30pm.
And there you have it – the best places for pumpkin picking in Surrey!
Hope this was useful! Thanks so much for reading π

Oh this looks so fun. I do want to go pumpkin picking this Autumn so I may have a look-see at what’s near me x #DreamTeam
We lived in Chertsey for many years so I can vouch for both Garsons & Crockford Bridge Farm – & for Christmas trees too! #DreamTeamLinky
Love both of them – we’ve booked to go to both this year haha!
Ooh yes do – it’s really fun and definitely gets you in the Halloween spirit π
We have never done pumpkin picking but as I live in Surrey it would be a shame not to go to one of these! Thanks for linking up with #dreamteamlinky
Aw I didn’t realise you were a Surrey girl too, yay! π
That is too cute!! I am guessing Halloween will be cancelled here. Not entirely sure what will happen. #KCACOLS
Yes I’m sure a lot of things are cancelled here too. Luckily pumpkin picking is quite easy to still socially distance but obvs depends on restrictions where you are x
I’m so excited it’s almost pumpkin picking time again. Halloween may be different this year but I think this is one of the few activities we can still enjoy safely since it’s outdoors. #KCACOLS
Yes exactly, lots of things are cancelled I think but pumpkin picking seems to be ok π x
Fab list! We love halloween and pumpkin picking! Thanks so much for linking up at #KCACOLS. Hope you come back again next time.
Thank you – glad you enjoyed it π x
I think this will be a great activity for this autumn. I have a big list for the West Country and will link back to yours as well #KCACOLS
Oh fab, amazing. I will check yours out too!! π
We’re off to Garsons next week for Pumpkin Picking, we’ve been going for the last few years, it’s so much fun! #KCACOLS
Ah amazing, we’re going next weekend yay π Yes we go every year too, love it π Enjoy! xx
Oh, how I love Halloween and pumpkin picking! I actually love pumpkins as fall decoration and must have made a ton this last week. Check them out https://hellosewing.com/how-to-make-fabric-pumpkins/

Ahh it looks amazing π Beyond my expertise though haha, but I am the world’s worst at sewing! π
I definitely need to look at getting somewhere booked! Iris hasn’t been too bothered by Halloween but has asked for a ‘PUNGKING’ bless her!
