It’s been the first full week of the summer holidays. And I think I can safely say summer holiday mode is officially on! It took a little while for the twigs to transition into holiday mode but I think we’re there now.
This week, as for most weeks of the summer holidays, I’ve aimed for some balance. So we have plans on some days, but also downtime days for the twigs to relax, or to just have little trips to the local playground etc. It’s working pretty well so far. The weather has been pretty crazy (we were so lucky with our beach trip last week!) Our area had some pretty serious flooding (we thankfully escaped as we are slightly up a hill). And in between the rain, it’s been boiling hot!
Anyway, this week we have met some friends, visited a National Trust property with my mum and the twigs had haircuts. Well H did – C is growing hers so just had a fringe trim this time. So I think we’ve been easing ourselves in pretty gently. C has still struggled a bit with the transition but I think she’s getting used to the more relaxed holiday routine now.
This week’s Living Arrows photos were taken in Bushy Park, one of our favourite places to go. There’s so much to do – a huge playground, the woodland gardens to wander around, plenty of trees to climb and of course, a good old cafe!

I hope you’ve had a lovely week and are enjoying being in summer holiday mode too!
Thanks for reading. Til next time,
Hannah xx
