Waahhh! It happened! I missed a week of Living Arrows! Haha it was bound to happen eventually – annoying though. I was determined to keep up this year, but hey inconsistency is my middle name so I’ve done well to get this far in the year! Anyway this week marked the end of Year 1 for the twigs!
I can’t believe they’ve finished Year 1! It’s such a shame that their first two years of school have been so disrupted. But not much we can do about it, and plenty of others are in the same position. Still a bit sad to think of all the things they’ve missed out on though.
Both the twigs got to meet their new teachers this week, which seemed to go well. They both seem happy with who they’ve got. Their classes are all being mixed up too so they will be with new children as well as new teachers! Again they both seem ok about it and happy to be with some of their friends. So no big dramas thankfully!
I felt a bit emotional about it being the end of Year 1. Year 2 just seems so grown up! I’ve been teaching Year 2 this year and the kids somehow seem so much older and less innocent than C and H. Probably just my perception as they’re my babies but still. Time just goes so fast!
Anyway this week’s Living Arrows photos are our standard end of the year doorstep photos 🙂 Check last year’s post for some previous pics to see how much they’ve grown!

Aww, these are lovely pictures. Gabe is going into Year 2 in September too, it definitely feels like a jump up from Year 1 but I’m sure they’ll love it
It really does feel like a jump up from year one to year 2. I have Fin going into his last year of school, Daisy year 8, Teddy going into juniors and Flo starting school! I can’t cope with it all x

Ahhh I find the end if one school year and the beginning of the next so bittersweet. I remember Charlie starting year 2 and the play stops and the lessons start on our school anyway! A bit of a shock. Have a lovely summer x
