So the big news this week… The twiglets are 6! I can’t actually believe it’s been SIX whole years since those two tiny bundles made their way into the world. And now they’re actual big children with their own personalities and wobbly teeth and everything!

We ummed and aahed about whether we should throw a party for the twiglets this year. Obviously last year they weren’t able to have one due to lockdown. So I felt a bit bad for not doing one this year, when they actually could! But we decided against it for a few reasons. We weren’t sure whether H would still have his plaster cast on. And as it turned out, he did! Also, with all the challenges we’ve had with C lately, we weren’t sure if a full-on party might just be a bit too overwhelming for her.

So we decided to just invite their two twin besties over for a mini party/playdate and a buffet lunch. And cake, obvs! It was really lovely in the end. The kids all played nicely (mostly!) and us adults drank Prosecco and chatted, which was nice for us too 🙂

After that, my mum and sister came over so we spent some time with them too and the twigs played with their pressies. C was very pleased with her new skateboard. H had asked for a pogo stick, which we got him. But of course he couldn’t actually play with it because of his leg. Luckily we had also got him a V-Tech kiddie smart watch thing which he was extremely pleased with! (He’s my screen-obsessed child haha!)

And on Sunday we had a trip into London for the first time in aaages! We went for lunch at Giraffe and then visited the London Aquarium. I’d booked that because we hadn’t known if H would still have his cast on, so I wanted something accessible just in case. And it was perfect! The twiglets thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

This week’s Living Arrows photos are of the twigs’ birthday pics. They weren’t being all that cooperative and pulled some proper silly faces. But I actually love the silly ones as they represent the twigs so well haha!
