Again, I don’t feel like I have a huge amount to write about this week! We’re all excited for the return of a bit of normality soon, with all children returning to school on March 8th. It will be lovely for the twiglets to be back with all their friends. But other than that, the only particularly exciting thing this week was the twigs wearing 1950s fancy dress to school last Friday!

1950s fancy dress

At school, H and C are learning about different eras in time. So on Friday they had to dress up as a child from a different decade. I was reluctant to spend any money on costumes they’d be unlikely to ever wear again. So we cobbled together what we could find and said they were 1950s schoolchildren. We pinned an old skirt of mine for C (that I can’t fit into anymore haha!) And we put some glasses on her that we happened to have from a fancy dress party years ago. We bought some cheap braces for H from Amazon and tried our best to slick his hair to one side.

I think, all things considering, they didn’t look bad! 🙂 Just one photo for Living Arrows this week as that’s all I’ve taken I think!!

Height difference!

The height difference between them is crazy now! I’m assuming H may be due a growth spurt at some point. I kind of miss the days of everyone asking if they were twins all the time! (If you don’t have twins, people are proper fascinated by them and always ask questions!) But these days, people think there’s about two years’ difference between them and are surprised to find out they’re actually twins – it’s a bit sad but hey ho!

Anyway I’m totally rambling! Otherwise our week was pretty uneventful, although we had a nice trip to the park on Saturday. We bumped into a friend from C’s class who she hadn’t seen since before lockdown so that was lovely. I think the kids are definitely looking forward to all being together again from next week!

I hope you all have a lovely week 🙂

Til next time,

Hannah xx

Thank you 🙂 Aww that’s fab!

  2. Ahhh lovely photo and good dressing up. Ours have a random Victorian day at a similar age and we had the same scout around to create a costume. I am sure H will catch up and over take at sompoint.

Haha yes fingers crossed! Lol I will never be an organised mum, not when it comes to stuff like costumes!

Yes especially when it’s something they’ll only wear once – pointless buying an outfit x
