I cannot believe it’s nearly the Easter holidays already! It really does feel like the kiddies only just went back to school! Just three more days to go and then I will need to figure out how on earth to entertain them for two and a half weeks haha!
A settled week
The past week has actually felt pretty settled. At home the twigs have been enjoying playing with their Rainbocorns toys and school has been going really well too. C has managed to go in happily every morning, which is pretty amazing. She got a little certificate on Friday and has been proudly telling us about various things that have gone well. H has been happy as ever too (he always loooves school!) I’m so proud of how they’ve both settled back in after lockdown.
No plans
As for the Easter holidays, I have made ZERO plans. Literally nothing.
I haven’t thought ahead at all about coming out of lockdown. Being the sceptical person I am (and remembering the fiasco of Christmas!!) I didn’t really think the ‘roadmap’ would happen on the planned dates. So I hadn’t taken them seriously at all.
And now suddenly we can meet up with people and actually do stuff outside and I haven’t booked a single thing, oops! Hopefully there’s still plenty of time but I guess we’ve always got Easter crafts to fall back on!
I feel I need to psych myself up for it mentally too. I’ve got so used to living in our little bubble and basically seeing no-one and doing nothing. Think it will be a real shock to the system!
Anyway I am looking forward to us being able to see my mum and sister at the same time, and just hang out in the garden. Of course, the weather next weekend is meant to be cold again, but hey ho. Just have to put a few extra layers on!
This week’s Living Arrows photos were taken, as usual, on a walk in the local park – well actually a bike ride for a change! Maybe soon I might have photos taken somewhere different!

Enjoy your Easter holidays – they are so long this year! I know what you mean about leaving your little bubble, socialising with other people will be strange after being at home for so long!

It really does feel like the kids have just gone back to school and they’ll soon be off again. At least with these holidays we can relax and not have to do any home schooling.
I have bought Easter eggs and that’s all we have planned for over Easter. lol

So glad to hear that C has been getting into school easier. Hasn’t the time flown? I can’t believe we’re at Easter all ready! We’ve not really got plans- I’m scared everywhere is going to be too busy and like you I didn’t anticipate that we’d actually get on with the roadmap on schedule.

Ha I’m EXACTLY the same as you. I hadn’t made any plans, because I didn’t believe it would happened. i was heartbroken over the fiasco at Christmas, now I don’t have a clue what to do over the next few weeks! Nevermind.

Yep exactly this! Oh well, better not to do too much too soon anyway. Might just go for a few picnics in the park – as long as the weather behaves itself of course!

Yes I know exactly what you mean! Oh I do hope the weather stays nice, I heard it’s getting much colder here next week though and may even snow, which seems crazy!!
I’m like you, haven’t really made plans at all! My only plan is to get out of the house each day with the kids and I’ve made plans to see a friend and her kids at a NT. It’ll just be nice to have a couple of weeks away from school runs and routine x
