The twiglets absolutely love bright, colourful toys that they can have lots of fun with, especially animals. So we were thrilled to be sent some IMC Toys VIP Pets to review. They’re super cute little dogs with amazing brightly coloured 30cm hair to style!

What are VIP Pets?

IMC Toys VIP Pets review

VIP Pets are the cutest little dogs with a passion for one thing: hair! There are six different characters – Juliet, Taylor, Alexia, Lady Gigi, Gwen, and Nyla. Each one has a different personality and hobby but they all have amazing 30cm long hair which they love to have styled!

There are actually 12 VIP Pet dolls to collect, as each of the six characters has two styles. They come with a range of accessories and a magic shampoo bottle.

How do VIP Pets work?

We received Taylor (dance style!) and Nyla (yoga). Each dog comes packaged in a shampoo bottle.

The first step is to remove the base of the bottle which contains the accessories, instructions and a leaflet about the dog. Also remove the top and outer packaging.

Then you pour water onto the bottle to magically reveal the beautiful colours in your pup’s hair! The twigs found this really exciting.

After this, you remove the bottle and you’re left with the little dog on its salon chair. Gently use a wipe or wet cloth on the dog’s face to reveal the special pattern on its face. Then remove the covering from its head to reveal it’s amazing long hair!

Now it’s styling time! Each pup has different accessories, and there are lots of styling ideas in the little booklet.

At this point I very quickly remembered that I am utterly sh*te at styling hair!! (I will never be one of those awesome mums doing French plaits in their kids’ hair!) But we managed some basic styles, and we had lots of fun and giggles trying anyway! 🙂

Top Tip!

Use plenty of water!

There is sticky stuff (maybe the shampoo?) on the pup’s hair. When we revealed the first one, we didn’t quite use enough water which meant some of the sticky stuff didn’t wash away. The second one was much better (we ran it under the tap!)

VIP Pets are a really fun toy for any animal-loving child, especially those who love styling hair too! They’d make great gifts and are perfect for keeping children entertained. They would be great for travelling with too!

VIP Pets are suitable for ages 3+ and are available for ÂĢ17.99 in all good retailers from July 🙂

  1. These look fun but 30cm hair fills me with dread I’m rubbish at doing hair and with my child’s heavy handed-ness it would be a knotty birds nest in no time!
