The first week of the summer holidays is already done and dusted! I have a feeling it might actually fly by quite quickly. It’s been a nice balanced week – not too busy but we’ve done some lovely things as well. One of the big things has been that I’ve started relaxing a little about social distancing for the twigs with other kids.
So… this week was the twiglets’ last week of Reception! I can’t belieeeve they have already finished their first year of school – just crazy! And what an unexpected, mad year it was…
This week has been a pretty good one really. The twigs enjoyed their second week of school – just one more to go before the summer holidays eek! We haven’t done all that much really, but we did have some fun making giant bubbles in the garden!
When I think back to the rosy first few days and weeks of lockdown, I remember the great intentions I had. I was going to smash home learning with the twiglets, I was going to get fit and healthy, I was going to relish all the lovely family time together… Fast forward to now and it’s fair to say things *may* have slipped just a little. So I thought I’d take a little tongue-in-cheek look at all the ways in which my parenting standards have lowered over lockdown. Enjoy!
The twiglets are five! I still can hardly believe it really – where has the time gone?! At the moment we’re still in some sort of semi-lockdown limbo state, which meant no party this year. But we tried really hard to make sure the twigs still had a lovely birthday to remember 🙂
