Helloooo! So I don’t usually tend to go in for these sort of seasonal checklist-type things. However, now that the twiglets are at school, I feel like our time together is really precious and I want to make the most of it. That’s not to say I will be putting loads of pressure on us all to get out and do stuff every single possible minute we can. The twigs are super tired from school and need lots of downtime. But I just have a few ideas of some things I’d like to do over autumn if we can, so I thought I’d share them. Here is our Autumn To-Do List:

Feeling Lost When Your Children Start School

I’ve been feeling a bit lost recently – well, since the twiglets started school really. I haven’t been able to put my finger on exactly why. It’s like there’s something niggling at the back of my mind but I can’t quite manage to bring it to the forefront so I can work out what it actually is. The other evening I was feeling this way and suddenly found myself saying to the husband: ‘There’s just no point to me anymore.’ I didn’t even really know what I meant – it just came out.

When Your Child Prefers Your Partner To You

This is kind of a hard post to write… But I’ve seen so many posts recently from mums who are struggling with their little ones only wanting them, and not wanting to be with their other half. Now I totally get the whole feeling of being touched out and having your personal space invaded by small people allllllll day. So I get that it would be really hard to be the one solely in demand all the time, and not be able to hand over the reins to someone else for a bit. But what about if it’s the other way round? How do you cope when your child prefers your partner to you?
